Old Quarter
All life is on the street here, in Hanoi's most interesting quarter. Streetside food hawkers compete with vegetable sellers and cyclo riders, people doing their washing in the street and tourists jostling amongst the throng. Dive in and soak up the atmosphere.
French Quarter
With a delightful old opera house, the infamous "Hanoi Hilton" prison and many other points of interest, Hanoi retains much of it's old French colonial heritage (including berets, coffee and baguettes!).
