About Tenerife

The Island of Tenerife is located in the Atlantic Ocean between the subtropical and temperate zones. Tenerife lies off the coast of Africa and is only a few hours' flying time from the Heart of Europe. The island's exceptional location has made it a meeting point for Europe, Africa and America.
Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and its 2,057 square kilometres encompass a kaleidoscope of contrasts leading to it often being called a continent in miniature. However, the island is both exotic and safe with all the facilities to be expected of a European destination of the first order.
Tenerife enjoys an exceptionally mild climate with spring like temperatures throughout the year while its spectacular coastline is lapped by the warm and benign waters of the Atlantic.
The volcanic origin of the island, the range of altitudes and the existence of localised micro-climates create landscapes and ecosystems of enormous variety. Mount Teide, at 3,718 kilometres the tallest peak in Spain, stands in the centre of the island, dominating one of the most striking and beautiful National Parks in the country.
Tenerife is the largest island of the archipelago. There are most varied landscapes: a mountain range with the mighty volcanic crater Caņadas del Teide, with a diameter of 20 kilometers, and the 3.718 meters high Teide in its centre; extremely fertile valleys with important cultures of bananas and tomatoes; and a seaside offering as well beautiful steep coasts as wide beaches of fine sand.

Isla Baja

The least known part of the island, ideal for those seeking a rural experience. Towns full of charm set in a preserved environment for an active yet relaxing stay.

Valle de La Orotava

The diversity of climate, possibilities for leisure activities, cultural heritage and natural beauty are the main attractions of this area. Hospitality varies from the traditional hotels of Puerto de la Cruz to the rural hotels and villas of La Orotava and Los Realejos.

Bajamar - Punta del Hidalgo

Tranquil and set in an area of outstanding beauty, its small dimensions and year round idyllic climate make this village of extraordinary interest.

Santa Cruz - La Laguna

The capital city and university town of Tenerife, ideal for short breaks. The historic old towns offer superb shopping experiences, culture and fine gastronomy.

South

Besides having the most hours of sun and picturesque villages of great attraction, the south offers not just great beaches but outstanding water sport activities and excellent golf courses.

Santiago del Teide

This region allows the visitor to enjoy a quiet sea-side area surrounded by a dramatic cliff-setting and experience activities such as walking, climbing, diving and sailing.
