Marbella is a beautiful town situated in the Heart of the Costa del Sol that has retained its typical Andalucian flavour. Narrow streets, whitewashed houses and squares full of flowers typify Marbella and all this surrounded by the sea and the mountains.
Marbella has much to offer the visitor with its endless beaches, numerous golf courses, leisure ports, many varied restaurants and shops and of course the best hotels to be found in one area on the Costa del Sol.
Due to its geographical location Marbella enjoys a special micro climate with no harsh winters or uncomfortably hot summers. The sun shines on average for 320 days per year and there are less than 50 rainy days.
Puerto Banus, located just six miles from the centre of Marbella is one of the most famous ports on the Costa del Sol. Today it is the ‘home’ of many yachts and boats of all shapes and sizes and these sit serenely into the wonderful surroundings year round. The port has many restaurants and bars which are very popular at all times of the day and night and there are over 350 shops and boutiques to enjoy browsing.
Malaga City is a very interesting place to visit with its cathedral dating back to 1528 when the first stone was laid. Malaga Castle set high above the city is surrounded by an attractive landscape and from the castle walls you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city, the coast and the surrounding mountains. A great way to explore Malaga is by horse and carriage by which method you can sit back and take in the sights.
The hills and mountains surrounding Marbella contain many quaint Andalucian villages and a visit to the town of Ronda will be well worthwhile.
