Being the southern most part of Israel, Eilat enjoys the warmest weather
and the highest amount of sunny days in Israel.
Weather in the summer (July-August)
The temperatures in the summertime can reach 45C (113F) during
the day and about 25C (77F) at night, but Eilat is relatively low in humidity
with a constant cooling breeze. The temperature of the Red Sea is approximately
24C, this is more or less constant all year round, which allows one to
enjoy the sea at any time of the year. The wind in Eilat is usually a north
wind from the Negev Desert which does not cause waves in the northern
part of the Red Sea. This combination of wind and calm sea makes ideal
conditions for windsurfers.
Weather in the winter (December to February)
The temperatures in the wintertime can reach 25C (77F) during the day, which
is ideal for sunbathing and swimming. At night the temperature can fall
to about 15C (59F) which is warm enough to walk along the beach. The annual
rainfall is about 25mm (1 inch).
Weather in spring and autumn
The weather and the sea temperature are very pleasant and daytime
temperatures can reach 33C (92F) during the day in October, and 26C (79F)
in March.
