The Gulf of Eilat offers some of the best diving and snorkeling opportunities in the world. Eilat is considered the underwater classroom of the world. There are many diving centres offering multiple courses for both beginners and qualified divers under the tuition of English speaking instructors.
Introductory Dive
If you would like to sample diving but feel you don’t want to commit to a course right away, then initially try an introductory dive. The lesson lasts for about an hour with 30 minutes spent in the water, and costs approximately £30.
Learn To Dive Package - Padi Open Water Course
Learn to dive in 5 days. Eilat is an excellent place to learn to dive, due to its shallow reefs, starting at 2 metres, and calm waters. This course is divided into three sections:
• Classroom, confined water and four open water dives. Each part is fun and your instructor will ensure that you learn exactly what you need, in order to explore this fascinating world.
• On successful completion of the course, you will be issued with an Open Water Diving Certificate enabling you to dive to 18 metres all over the world.
• 5 days with full equipment £195
Learn To Dive Package - Padi Open Water Referral Course
The referral system allows you to undertake the academic and confined water training in the UK prior to departure, enabling you to complete the remaining two days in resort, to get on with some diving, with four open water dives. Contact PADI to arrange your UK training.

Advanced Diving Course - Padi Advanced Open Water Course
This two day course focuses on expanding your diving experiences and knowledge from your Open Water Course (or equivalent) , and gives you the opportunity to dive to 30 metres and learn new skills that particularly interest you.

Advanced Diving Course - Padi Rescue Diver Course
This course focuses on assisting others and how to prevent and handle diving emergencies. Prior to certification, you must have completed a sanctioned course in CPR within the last three years. Alternatively you can complete a Medic First Aid course during your Rescue Diver course at a cost of £105.

Diving for qualified divers - Basic Packages
These include shore dives, but can be upgraded to include various other options including boat dives, night dives and specialties. In Eilat and Taba, certified divers must purchase compulsory diving insurance locally, at a cost of approximately £12. All divers wishing to participate in any of the following basic packages must present an internationally recognised diving certificate and log book. If you have not dived in the past 6 months, expect to undergo a check-out or refresher dive at a cost of £27, which can be arranged locally.
• 5 days – 10 dives including tanks and weights £69.
• 5 days -10 dives with full equipment £120
• 6 days - 12 dives including tanks and weights £79
• 6 days – 12 dives with full equipment £140
Diving for qualified divers - Dive With the Dolphins!
A holiday in Eilat would not be complete without a dive with the dolphins. The Dolphin Reef allows you to interact with dolphins in their own special enclosure. Stroking and playing with them underwater is an experience you will never forget.
Note: Minimum age for diving with dolphins is 8 yrs old and snorkelling with dolphins is 10 yrs old. Health requirements apply

Specialist diving package - Special Week of Diving
This exciting package combines the best of Sinai diving for the qualified diver:
• 2 guided dives per day including transportation, tanks and weights

• 2 days Sinai Safari with Full Board and camping
• Half day boat diving at Eilat’s premier dive sites

Medical Requirements
If you suffer from asthma, ear nose or throat complaints or claustrophobia, or have a heart defect, you may be prevented from diving. You are required to undergo a full medical examination before booking your beginners diving course. A medical questionnaire and relevant medical forms for your GP can be obtained from our reservations department. If you are over 40 years old, or have any queries regarding your health, we recommend that you visit your GP prior to departure, and obtain a letter stating that you are fit to dive. If you do not have a letter confirming this, a medical examination and chest x-ray may be carried out by a doctor in Eilat on the morning of your arrival. There will be a local charge for this procedure. All medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of booking. Permission to dive and snorkel at the Dolphin Reef is at the discretion of the management of the Dolphin Reef.
Important information
Prices do not include airfares or accommodation. Diving packages are only available in conjunction with inclusive holidays. If you are planning to take a diving knife please check with our reservations department for airline restrictions. Please note that you cannot dive within 24 hours of an onward flight.
